18 & Over Book Blogger Follow #13: (Cat)Fight Club!

15 Jun

18 & Over Book Blogger Follow is a weekly feature that runs over the weekend, hosted by Crystal from one of my favourite blog sites, Reading Between the Wines.

Question of the Week Fight club! Heroine Vs. Heroine. Pick your two favorite kick-ass book heroines and pit them against each other. Who would win?

Ooh, this is a good one! Well, the first name to come to mind is Cat Crawfield, of course, from the Night Huntress series by Jeaniene Frost, because it’s a cat fight and that’s her name! She’s a vamp, she has a kick-ass entourage (mmm… Bones, Spade, Ian, Vlad… *sigh*) and she doesn’t take anyone messing with her.

I would pit her against Payne, Vishous’s sister from J.R. Ward‘s the Black Dagger Brotherhood. She’s also a kick-ass vampire, is mad as hell, murdered her father and seriously injured King Wrath when they sparred together. She also has an awesome entourage of hot, lethal Brothers… *fans self*

In a fight, I think I’m gonna have to go with Payne. Cat would make too many wisecracks and Payne would just floor her with a roundhouse kick!

Question of the week: If you could get an early look at one of March’s releases, raw and pre-edits, which book would it be?

Oh, this is so tough! There are two books coming out on March 27 which are part of some of my most favourite series, and I can’t decide between them!

The obvious choice is Lover Reborn, by J.R. Ward. I have been an avid reader of this series for a couple of years, and Tohrment’s book promises to be one which may polarise Ward’s fans. I’ve seen some spoilers and am not really sure what to expect. I’ve pre-ordered it, though, and am keen to read what happens to one of my favourite Brothers as soon as it hits my Kindle.

I love Tohr, but I think I love Terrible just as much, so I would have to say I’m hugely impatient to read Sacrificial Magic by Stacia Kane. The end of the last book was so brilliant and I can’t wait to read Chess and Terrible together as a couple.

Was that a copout? Sorry, but I just can’t choose!

So what about you? What book can you not wait to get your hands on this month? Leave a comment below or link up HERE to follow the meme.

18 & Over Book Blogger Follow is a weekly feature that runs over the weekend, hosted by Crystal from one of my favourite blog sites, Reading Between the Wines. I’m very late to the partay with this one, but it’s still the weekend in America so here I go joining in the fun!

Question of the week: If you could have a girls’ night out (or guys’ night out) with three of your favorite authors who would they be and why?

  1. E.L. James - I’m part of her editing team but I’ve never met her in person. I think she would be great company for a night out on the town, especially if it was in her hometown of London ;)
  2. J.R. Ward - I could pick her crazy brain, give her a few suggestions, and maybe find out what she looks like without those sunglasses!
  3. Kresley Cole - She sounds like a really fun chick – and she might bring Paul Marron with her!

If I could invite a man along (other than Paul, of course!) I might include Sylvain Reynard, because he would be a great conversationalist and he gets on well with Ms. James. Seeing them together would be a blast!

So what about you? Who would you take on a night on the town? Leave a comment below or link up HERE to follow the meme.
