My review: This book should be called Rock Weddings because there are several in this book, making it a nice way to see out the members of Schoolboy Choir. Abe and his ex-wife, Sarah, are perfect for each other and their story is perhaps one of the better ones of the series. I didn’t think I’d like Abe, given his drug history and the way he is depicted at the start of this book, but he really made an effort to turn his life around. I have to admit I waited a long time for the other shoe to drop, but there was no sudden twist, and that’s probably why I can’t give this another cupcake. However, it was great to see all the other couples and know they all got their HEAs. I believe Nalini Singh plans to write some spinoffs about Gabriel’s brothers, so I look forward to that.

My review: Some people will have a problem with this book – there is cheating of a sort and the hero is a bit of an ass a lot of the time. However, I really enjoyed the story and the writing, which drew me in to Noah and Kit’s freinds-to-lovers story. The trauma of Noah’s childhood was not revealed until very late in the book and this mystery was very intriguing, unlike Kit’s stalker who was easy to pick – I did so from the first mention of them in the story. Kit had the patience of a saint and I enjoyed her a lot more than I expected. Abe and Sarah’s story next should be interesting.

Netgalley continued feeding my addiction this week by granting me access to the ARC of Rock Redemption, by Nalini Singh, the latest in her new contemporary romance series, Rock Kiss. I love how this series is set in New Zealand, and has rock stars AND rugby players 🙂

I’ve joined the blog tour for Laura Kaye‘s new release next week, Hard As Steel, a crossover novella linking her Hard Ink series with her new Raven Riders series. So this week I was sent a copy from the publisher through InkSlinger PR.

Since I hadn’t read the last book in that series, I bought the audiobook of Hard To Let Go so I could be up to date before starting the novella. I’m listening to it at the moment and it’s great.

While at Audible, I also bought An Ember in the Ashes, by Sabaa Tahir, about which I have heard nothing but good things. I also needed a few more titles starting with E for my reading challenges 😉

And, finally, since it was on special, I also bought the audiobook of The Sea of Tranquility by Katja Millay. I’ve been meaning to read this for a while and couldn’t resist it on special.
